I have to say it's largely a lighting issue. On the left he's lit harshly - no strong fill lights, on the right he's in a studio with diffuse light coming towards his face from multiple lights. Looks like the same guy to me. Even the ears, which indeed is the first thing I compare when I suspect a body double is involved - the ears look the same to me. These aren't good shots to really compare ears, though.
