As a civilian, there's not a lot you can do to prevent an AI-nanogoo takeover. You have to leave that to military pros and "exo-frens". Meanwhile, there are more mundane issues in living in society that are ours to own. No point in being rescued from extinction if you can't run your school or town.

I used to trudge back and forth over Staines Moor years ago, endlessly checking out in my head that the ∆Q algebra of telecoms network performance really did hold up to scrutiny, and that therefore me and a few mates were justified in saying the Internet emperors had no clothes.

We ran workshop after workshop with the most erudite critics we could find in order to shake it all down and find the smallest chinks in our logic and language. To this day, I consider what came out to be an intellectual masterpiece. We spoke what nobody else dared to even see.

It gave me the self-confidence to apply the same ruthless rigour to other "information landscapes". The Q drops are just lumps of data to be interpreted in a context. I had no attachment to their geopolitical meaning, just to whether everything could be made consistent and coherent.

It still surprises me how uncommon true curiosity is; even rarer, the pursuit of truth. Authentic science is inherently a dissident activity.

I have found that you can make all kinds of missteps and errors, and easily recover, as long as you don't drag anyone else down. I don't care about predictions I made years ago that didn't work out; that's my learning experience about the fog of war. I do care that I didn't decry other people, or discourage them from making their own efforts to discern and describe. In the process, I have found that humility isn't what I thought it is. It's not some self-deprecating attitude that denies your own potency or potential. It is the refusal to put yourself into a godlike position, and the rejection of the arrogance of being better than others. There's no real downside to humility, if you do it right, as it's paradoxically the most empowering place to come from, as all of creation is aligned to you!

English is easy to master if you are a communist as all the words mean the same thing.

It’s a kind of relief knowing 100% that I am an ordinary human mess with generic problems, and not controlled opposition or a paid shill. When I look at some notional peers in the movement I do wonder what lies behind their image. I bite my tongue and avoid all bitchy personal gossip. They carry their own karma. If you spend your energy raising the vibe, you can’t go wrong, as the credit all goes to the divine rather than you — so your faults don’t really matter.

There are moments when I see the breathtaking level of disclosure happening on AU, and wonder at the minuscule audience who can appreciate what they are seeing. Armies of academics, journalists, and researchers who couldn’t recognise a diamond if it fell from the sky right in front of a jewellery shop window in a box labelled “mystery precious stone”. They have no curiosity and no ability to accept oblique communications from unofficial sources. One quick search on a database for published papers, and no results means it doesn’t exist, even if they hold it in their hand. Future historians will comb over the AU archive and marvel at what went on here. There are disclosure ops all over the place, but this looks like the premier one. Significance way beyond its size. And being AU, I will never write an article about it. The price of membership is discretion about who you invite in.
