I'm a manager at a bank and this is not unusual. Large cash withdrawals are typically ordered due to the risk to our teammates and clients. Especially if it is unusual activity for the client. We never stop a client from taking their money, it may not be how they want it cash vs cashiers check.

I would not waste time on how many or where banks are... see if assests under management change. That is the only way to determine if a bank is actually hurting. Less assets, less lending to charge interest. Deposit accounts are important to maintain and offer lending... no ability to create new debt, means no money.

A lot of consolidation and acquisitions have taken place which is different than going under. It just means assests under management become more concentrated by the larger or growing institutions...

this is all blown out of proportion... bad westher cancelled flights, then crews are displaced to work flights the next day or two... the utilize reserves in their bases... however many crews are displaced out of bases with limited options to move them to work flights...
