I'm of the opinion that distilled or reverse osmosis is preferable but then we're left needing to find those important minerals elsewhere. Organic fruit is another fine source of water imo as well.

Most reverse osmosis systems have a mineral filter that adds the minerals back in to the water to make it alkaline after filtering contaminants.
