Yes, over the years, I've had a few messages in my ears that I can actually hear. They are usually limited to a few words or a very short sentence.

In Ontario, Canada, the janitors, office secretaries and other support staff tend to be the ones who hold a school together on a day-to-day basis, but they are paid a mere fraction of the amount that teachers and administrators get. Most of them are laid off during the summer months and holidays and aren't even paid unlike the teachers who continue to earn their salaries.

I miss the feistier ones who left for X because it also changes the balance of things here at AU. I prefer to read a range of opinions on any given topic rather than see everyone nod their heads in agreement. X lacks the civility of AU, but offers a more diverse conversation. In the end, I'm not very attached to either place.

I grew up in a rural community where a lot of women stayed home and/or helped on the farm. Abuse against the women in certain households was an open secret not just in my generation, but in the generations prior to it. My father would tell us stories about that kind of thing happening when he was young.

In one of the stories, the neighbours went and beat up the abusive husband. In 1873, a woman from our area named Elizabeth Workman was hanged for murdering her abusive husband despite the fact that the jury recommended mercy.

Our society should have zero tolerance for domestic abuse. Women (and sometimes men) need to have the financial means and necessary support to escape those types of situations when they arise. I have always felt that telling women to stay home is overlooking this crucial, but sadly too common, piece of the story.

I watched this. She mentions seeing a crocodile on top of a building and at some point, she also mentions a round building.

In her analysis, she decides that something might happen in the northern part of Australia because that is where saltwater crocs are found.

On a hunch, I did a quick search and read that, at the time of its building, Premier Joe Cahill compared the Sydney Opera House to a crocodile.

Also, the "shells" or "sails" of the Opera House derive from a single sphere. The Danish architect Utzon likened it to an orange. In other words, a round shape. It's also located in "Circular Quay."

Some people have suggested that the Opera House is one of the buildings around the world that will be "taken out." Perhaps this is what her dream was trying to tell her?

NOTE: I've only been in the Opera House once, but I loved the Harbour when I lived there and went on the tourist cruise numerous times.

They'll remember them. Many years ago, we threw a fancy dress tea party for my cousin's three young daughters and my niece. Everyone dressed up for it. We had proper china tea cups and went all out.
