I didn't read this is a Bible Study book...

God led me The Holy Spirit sorted it out.

Many years ago when I found this it alarmed me..

I closed my Bible and ran away from it..not knowing what to think...God uses these things to get your attention to dig deeper.
When I settled down praying and asking questions I grew to understand what He wanted me to see. He has been my teacher...He has led the way. Coming from a home where noone was safe...I had to know if God was trust worthy..He is.

Books may say good things..but they are not what He is directing me to as my foundation. He is my foundation.

I have heard Pastors laugh and say "You can't rejoice in the Lord always, if you hurt yourself."
YES YOU CAN.
I do it because God says "Rejoice in all things."
And the pain leaves, burn stops burning and sooths.
This is my walk where I am in Trusting God.
I keep discovering God is NOT the god I heard about. He is so much better.

Today's Gospel: John 20, 2-8

Lord, this Christmas week you are taking me through the entire essence of living with you through the Gospels.

I am so touched today though he was born in Sept...tradition taught me this day.

I learned yesterday the wise men were actually
very powerful men called "the King makers."
They came to honor The King of the World as Christ Jesus would have been about 3 or 4.
They knew thus Gold-Kingship, Frankincense-High Priest, and Myrrh-The Lamb. These King makers came with troops..on horses..believed to be from Iran. Traveling the distance on horseback though there were like in wagon trains food wagons and cooks for the trip.
Herod had to be careful...they were powerful..yet did not look to usurp Herod but locate The King.
Never thought much about Mary & Joseph having family in Bethlehem either. They must have felt like outcasts a Virgin with child. In those times you made room...yet they did not.
Often have thought about John, his mom Knew Mary held the Christ, God's son.
Even John questioned "Are you the one?"
