One thing I have learned, is that reading the Bible with an understanding of the historical context in mind is imperative. Also who the writer is like Paul for instance, and who the audience is as well. If it is Jesus' words, understanding that He is speaking to Jewish people under the law and He Himself is a Jewish man living under the law. Jesus often berated the Jewish leaders for imposing more laws upon the people and yet not upholding them for themselves. He knew He came to expose all the corruption and what He had to do to usher in the New Covenant of Grace. He had to be the spotless sacrificial Lamb. He had to be born sinless to be that Sacrificial Lamb. So His birth is to be celebrated IMO with that in mind. In an attitude of gratitude for the New Covenant of Grace in which we live. 😙

I AM ASKING FOR HELP: My Daughter was in a terrible car accident recently and she is not doing well. She was hit by a truck while sitting at a stop sign. The other driver was doing about 35-40 mph and slammed into her. She has neck and spinal injuries and is unable to work and needs treatments/physical therapy. The driver did not carry proper insurance and some medical facilities require upfront payments. She has no income and needs help with monthly living expenses.
