Thank you; I've educated myself beyond belief about this subject. Yes, but not memory foam. It turns out that is just as toxic as anything can get. So the kind that's not are latex (from rubber trees); or polyurethane from plants, believe it or not, like mattresses used to be made on. I've been well overall! Thanks! I'm dealing with a very firm mattress that is really a pain in the butt, literally! haha. I'm trying to figure out what to put on it as a topper because I can't live with it this way! Just wishing things would change more rapidly. There's another person native to CA who says the gov is getting nutty with ability to enter homes and also give the vax without any warrant or anything. Yes; that's what I hear about real estate sales, going quickly. So if money isn't an issue, then pick a nice temporary place in TX. This is to get yourself safe and okay while everything comes to a head. I have been through a lot, but not your situation; moving is always stressful. Do the packing, deciding about items as quickly as possible. You can rent a UHaul or whatever -- maybe there's a friend to help you pick it up, hitch the car on the back or whatever. Goodness, this is a lot. The types of places I suggested are weekly rentals you can find on the Net. One is called Stay America, but I know nothing about them. They are pricey, but it's in a bind you'd do that to stay somewhere while you figure the rest out. DM me if you want. This is a lot of info!!

So let's look at it like this, if you don't mind my help. When we have "concerns," often they are our consciousness pointing the way toward difficulties that we would rather avoid. Easiest route in life as possible is the way paved with your highest good, so like in the other comment, I'd really do what I suggested before, and choose TX for now. I don't know much about it, but it's at least free of a lot of what you're trying to avoid. It's huge, so you'd have to pick based on intuition and feeling as much as possible. Anyway, I hope that helps, and if I were in your shoes, that's what I'd do. I have a teen daughter, am not married to her dad, and would do what's easy right now with all else being so difficult.

Wow. I assume you've completely packed. Maybe it's best for you to come south in whatever legal way you can, and find a weekly rental place or something. Depending on your personal belongings, there are storage facilities all over the place. Some do monthly rental. I mean pick Texas for now so that if you stay, at least you are already someplace you want to be?

I think there are a lot of tucked away small towns that would be very safe, since I've driven through it, I've seen them. Do trees, natural habitat matter to you? Food options? What floats your boat? (Like in rural areas, you can't get as much a variety of international foods.)

Hum. I don't know either. I do know I don't like the feel of it. Wow, the Middle East! That's not my area of knowledge!! Being that you're from this area generally, but it's just me, I would just come south instead of halfway across the world. Do you like the water? I mean there are tons of mini climates in Texas. It's the most patriotic type gun-holding place in our country! The coast has many storms; I hear the new capital of the country may be there in the future. I'd think about culture for comfort, but again I'm like that. And language, but you may speak Arabic or something!

Do you have any time or people restrictions, like others keeping you from doing it when you want? If so, you could or couldn't take a more time to decide; or perhaps is the crazy going on there that makes you want to do so! The foothills of the Smoky Mountains are rural and very tucked away -- you could choose from any state and even be in the mountains themselves! People in the Southern and mid Western states generally are more friendly than Florida, but that's mine and daughter's experience.

Texas is really hot in the summer. Have you visited? I mean it's like you can't breathe in the humid areas! And I live in a nearby state that is also very hot, but I know Canada is nothing like these. I would consider language for ease of transition -- US prob best? Florida, St Augustine is very nice but it's coastal. Beautiful, but probably expensive. Which part of CA are you coming from?
