So sorry to hear about your friend and mom. Truly scary how incompetent these doctors can be. Their malpractice should have to pay when they make mistakes, rather than the patient paying. There should be compensation for pain and suffering.

They nicked my Dad's heart while performing a debriding from a staph infection after a single bypass surgery. He bled out for 3 days in the ICU. Luckily he clots easily. They took him back to surgery to see what was up and the surgeon scraped a scab on his heart and blood sprayed out. He had to put his finger on the leak until they could get the plastic surgeon in to take a muscle from his stomach and attach it to the heart. My Dad lived for 11 more years with his heart showing through his chest and couldn't wear a seatbelt. The skin graph didn't take either. He grew new skin on his own. He was 80 and on a ventilator for 8 weeks. Only by the grace of God did he survive. He was a walking miracle. They kill and maim more than they save.

I too had my colon perforated during a colonoscopy. Had to have a bag for six weeks and had to pay for their mistake out of my own pocket. I will never do that again, or have a Pap smear or a mammogram. Heck I don’t even like the dentist. That is a racket as well.

Trying our best to stay out of the medical complex as much as possible! My sister suddenly had low blood counts, had a colonoscopy to look for bleeding, they perforated her colon!! She had a 6 hour emergency surgery, in hospital for 8 days, has a temporary ileostomy that will be reversed in January. So another surgery, another hospital stay. He first bill was over $175,000! Thankfully like me ( I am retired RN) she is a nurse and has good insurance and they will pay all of it because she is employed with the medical system where she had her "care." The cost of care is astronomical! 🙄

Got the 2.5% increase
Cost for Part B Medicare deduction from SS went UP
Cost for Part D prescription deduction went UP
Because of inflation my 76 year old husband still works part time. We are required to take our minimum requirement from retirement funds, so they penalize us by adding an IRMAA deduction.
The result: both our Social Security checks are REDUCED from last year! What a scam! ☹️

Stopped all western medicine in 1987. Best decision of my life. No doctor visit, no insurance, no medicine even OTC since, no test. Never sick again. Oh, and gave up processed food and fluoride.

Not blind, but sorely undereducated. Doctors are not required to take nutrition, and are not even taught how vaccines are made, but nurses are. Doctors were bound to be exposed, but most of the nurses I ever worked with, not all mind you, but most couldn't care less.

I was a nurse for 20 years and gave up my hard earned license when I finally had to admit to myself that modern medicine is a lie. I tend to my own, and my family's health now, but do get bloodwork once a year because of bouts of anemia that spring up now and again from previous surgeries that were screwed up, like my right knee replacement.
