Thank you so much for the reminder! I am situationally aware living in the Denver area, but I do get lax on a few of these points. That said, and because the highway/beltway is insane sometimes, I usually avoid that. I know I have twenty ways to get from here to there. We have periodically over the years had some random sniper stuff along one stretch of highway (225) as well, which always sticks in my mind. I started driving with navigation on even when I know where I’m going because it takes me away from where there are accidents, “construction” (which does not alway look like legit construction to me), and major bottleneck slowdowns. I typically opt for the extra seven minutes to get there because I do know how to wiggle on another street or through a neighborhood and keep moving. I despise protests and people willing to hazardously jump on your hood to stop traffic. 🤬

I was in the car with an older relative who slammed on the brakes and sat inside her rolled up windows screaming at some man who waved, giving her the right-of-way, in a very large parking lot with unmarked lines (near the coffee shop). Her problem you ask? And I quote a shrill, “DO NOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!” I will no longer ride in her car. God love the next person who tries to be kind to her.

Man, I hate this war and I must be extra tired today. I saw this headline and immediately felt like I should stand up to defend the 13 year olds rather than to appreciate that we are making some progress with this.

Let me back up my brain a daggone sec and just say, “yay”… Oh, and we want the names of anyone voting against it.

Actually, I think I am still kinda angry about all of it because 14 year olds, 15 year olds, and anyone not legally able to stand on their own two feet still need defending… but now I am encroaching on the rest of the topics not being addressed here. Polis may be in a conundrum, which is my concern. If he lets her out of state control, she can present proof which will be damning. If he does not let her go then the federal government funds stop. I don’t trust him, but I do think he could make deals to try to save his own butt. All I want to know is that she is out of state control and truly safe and protected somewhere. If that already happened, bravo, because then the rest is just theater. If that has not yet happened then we need to boldly protect her by any means possible. I cannot say for sure where she may be, but I do love the idea that we might be worried for nothing at this point. I will continue to worry and ask for divine intervention while we wait for more of this to play out. 🙏🏻
