Planted 3 roma tomato plants in cloth pots as an experiment.

Put a Sardine covered with coffee grounds in the hole before I planted the tomatoes as a fertilizer.

The coffee grounds were supposed to mask the scent of the sardines to help keep critters from digging up the plants. Must have worked.

I live in WI and they are still producing. 🫠

Aleady put up 6 quarts each of sauce, chili base and Marina.

Today I am going to try roasting them whole after being peeled.

36 tomatoes
2 tsp Himalayan garlic salt
2 tsp oregano
1/4 c olive oil

Going to roast them at 300°F for abiut 1.5 hours.
Hoping for the best. ❤️🍅

SAVORY HOMEGROWN ACORN SQUASH

HEAT GRILL TO 300-350° F

Use HD foil.
Start with the squash open side down.
Add 2-3 T water
Close the foil and cook 20-30 minutes.
Flip the squash and add the seasonings.
Cook another 20 minutes or so.

Seasonings - Aunt Alice Style -
1 T brown sugar
1/2 T butter
1-2 tsp minced garlic
Salt and lots of pepper.

Yesterday, in a Team's meeting, it was mentioned that a Pfizer building was hit by a tornado. This statement was made while discussing one of the buildings in our portfolio located in the same area. Apparently the tornado didn't harm the building we manage but hit the Pfizer building.

Luckily, I was on mute as I inadvertently laughed out loud at the thought of a tornado hitting a Pfizer building. 🤣😂🤣
