have had severe leg cramps after an hour of sleep, sometimes getting up 3 times to walk it off, my wife suggested tonic water before bedtime. it’s hell, severe pain

I was having leg cramps at night,and started taking 2 Quinine capsules before bedtime.That stopped them completely!
