The common cold has officially made it to my town.

There's panic in the streets.

#Omicron #Plandemic

I know, a case of the common cold has never been front page news until now.

I was raised working on a farm... Believe you me, NOTHING STOPPED because of a cold - NOTHING.

You had to be already dead & cold when gran found you if you were going to get out of chores...

Later in life, how many times did I show up & work my ass off - by employer's demand - until I was wrecked, because I didn't take care of myself...

Not many years til I started working for myself & setting my own rules.

This is the part of the movie where things get hysterically funny.

It's really a good thing that I don't go out much, beause I'd get myself in trouble for bitch-slapping some of these CovID10ts, for sure.

I'm tempted to put a sign in my back window:

HONK if you think Covid is a total SCAM!

I wonder how much trouble I could get into with that?

Bingo!

We went to work with broken hands, broken feet, pounding heads or sick stomachs.

I remember getting up at night to find Gran still busy mending some piece of clothing or other. We had patches on our clothes, sure, but I never realized where they came from until then. It was just something she did.

Our pantry stayed full & we always had enough to share with others in need.

We ran on INTESTINAL FORTITUDE.

We volunteered to help others get crops in, raise a barn, kill chickens, or have a canning bee. Why? Because we loved our neighbors & enjoyed helping them.

We didn't do it for ourselves; we were part of a family that needed us.

We did that OUT OF LOVE.

I miss the peace & quiet of Uruguay & the warmth of Mexico.

But once the fight was on, I had to come back.

And once the fight is over, I plan to force hubs to retire & find us a nice place on a river/lake further inland, with about a section of land.

I'd love to help veterans & get help growing organic veggies & raising dairy goats, Jersey cows, & KuneKune pigs.

I want to teach canning & preserving & other old-time crafts.

People should know how to grow their own TP, I reckcon & quit wiping their butts on the lungs of the planet.

BEST thing hubs & I ever did was take 5 years off & spend that time in Uruguay off the grid. It was the first time in his life he ever had time to think.

THAT's the kind of break that changes folks.

Which is why I also want to have 3 or 4 rental cabins, so the vets can earn some income & not just a place to stay... full circle, you see?

On top of that, a country store to sell our products. It will work.

The age of the photo/meme means nothing; it is a means of communicating a sentiment.

We have so many vets living in their cars around here.

I plan to help remedy as much of that as possible.

Have you talked to any, within all those Vets in your area, to find out what they want or need?
Have you taken blankets, coats, gloves or offered wam coffee or food?
Or asked if you can share an authentic photo of one or more of those Vets with others for awareness?

Sounds like "Forcing" your hubs to retire for your dream is the perfect environment for men and women with PTSD and other issues.

Some great Vet programs where I live.
Love and support Vets.
And, yes - I donate to help them.

Please keep us posted on your progress in helping your local Vets.

By the way - those metals are easy to find for purchase!

No, I have not done any of what you mention.

Instead, I have opened my home to 5 fellows, not all at once, as well as a young lady, who were made homeless through no fault of their own.

Gave them a place to get their heads together, identify needs & wants, then go after them.

They were self-sufficient when they chose to leave.

Hubs & I are both vets & it's this our joint dream. His own health is not good & he has needed to retire for a long time. I'm praying he doesn't drop dead on the job just from physical overwork & not being able to breathe with his COPD.

We have a very large community of vets around us where we are now, & because we listen to the small voice, there's no shortage needs out there.

I prayed about it & was told specifically NOT to approach any of the various agencies purporting to serve vets because so little of the $$$ ever gets to trickle down to them.

God send me where wants me to go - I don't have go looking for people to help.

Your generosity for taking in other Vets is noted.

Not sure which God you're praying to that tells you not to approach homeless Vets on the street with a warm blanket, a hot meal or cup of coffee/tea.

All I see are not only Grateful, but are asking for help.

The sacredness of each individual's journey is only known to them, and in the past most often they pass over without ever having gone within to ask why they chose what they did and what they could do differently to empower themselves.

There are no victims, only willing participants.

We only have the Power to help ourself heal!
And we can only help others who are willing to help themselves!

In the meantime We can offer a hand up or a warm cup of something,

Many Blissings on your journey!

Perhaps it should be noted that I have been living for over 2 years now without a vehicle, live at least 2 hours from the city, and have 9 fractures in my spine which prevent me walking heavily laden to the city to find your said vets...

Perhaps you should expand your thinking!

YOU do not know everyone's situation.

I do what I can with what I have available & have never turned another soul away who needed help.

Until you criticized me so today, I had not mentioned any of that.

Perhaps you might want to focus your light in your own area; I'm already shining over here.
