Kat, in 1997, I finished a series of paintings to tell the story about how Jesus healed my spirit.
As I began another series I asked God for inspiration. We had had wonderful NYC trips, so I focused on that.
But the paintings became frightening. Fire, disaster, a man falling in midair and a monster attack from the sky.
When I tried to make the paintings less scary, they got worse! I watched as one painting actually had what looked like smoke erupting -with no help from my paintbrush.
I finished the series, hid them away on a shelf, prayed and got 2 Bible readings.
1 Corinthians 1, Verse 31: "If anyone is going to boast, let him boast only of what the Lord has done."
A second reading was, Ezekiel 3, Verse 12, 13: "I heard behind me the sound of a great earthquake. It was the noise of wings of the winged beings as they touched against each other and the sound of their wheels beside them."
I dunno, maybe my paintings suggested planes bec that was the early narrative.

Many may feel as though they are incapable of doing anything to support our country now. However, we can all make the decision to STAND OUR GROUND, HOLD THE LINE, NEVER GIVE UP. We all have families, friends and associates that we treasure. So for the sake of all - it is up to each of us to dedicate our efforts to lift up the Great Republic of the United States of America.
