Babesia microti is a protozoan PARASITE that infects erythrocytes and causes babesiosis.1 It is transmitted by the same tick that transmits Borrelia burgdorferi, the causative agent of Lyme disease.
Treat the patient to get rid of the parasite. Have you tried Ivermectin? Amazon sells pills and horse paste. I took the horse paste using the notches on the syringe that are marked at 50 pound doses. Apple flavored, and easy to swallow, but Amazon also caries the pills. I took one whole syringe over 8 days, stayed off of it for 10 days and retreated to kill all eggs that might have hatched.

Hi - I have a similar story and back then I didnt know what I know now. I suffered many years not knowing if it was Lyme or not. I had classic Lyme symptoms but there was something else going on- 36 Dr's later and I still do not know for sure. I went to infectious disease specialists and many others who were never able to properly diagnose me. They put me on Doxy for 16 weeks and it reeked hell on my system.. I would advise not to do that. I stopped going to Dr's all together. I would treat it like a parasite in which it is. This started in 2012 - I would try the Borox/Ivermectin protocols before considering Doxy. I started juicing and detoxing 2-3 years ago.. I saw and felt a change. The first detox was brutal but thats bc you are eliminating all the toxins and parasites. I also fasted on and off. I am approx. 90% relieved of the symptoms - I would be at 100% if I was more diligent. Research on natural cures/protocols for Lymes and Morgellons. Prayers and Blessing 🙏

Elle, thank you for sharing with me. I am so sorry you had to go through so many years suffering. It's a horrible feeling. I have never been so shell shocked and overwhelmed in my life as to what to do to treat this horrible disease. Thank you for your advice on the doxy. My inner voice was telling me don't do it, but that's what the internet says is the "go-to" for lymes. I think after reading everyone's comments, I know my son has to do a parasite detox, slowly, and then we go from there. Prayers to you as well and god bless you.

Reggie, I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme in 2016. Avid hiker and shed hunter, I was bit a few times. Prayer led me to stevia, the leaf not the processed plant. I use Ivermectin once a week and have remained symptom free for two years. I hope this helps. Blessings to you and your son.

I have late stage lyme, you need a lyme literate Dr. to help navigate. Not all same protocols work for all people. Healing Lyme is a great book. FB has some great support groups for Lyme, helps with educating yourself, loads of information. I was treated 14 years ago with high dose IV antibiotics daily for a month, thought it was gone...not. I’ve been treating again for last year with many drugs, botanicals, alternative treatments. You should understand what you are dealing with in terms of co infections that are typically a part of it. Parasites too. Gut health super important. So much to learn but a lyme literate Dr. is paramount. Prayers...🙏🙏🙏
