It is so true. We have to invest in future generations. IMO, the entire present education system needs to be abolished and a new way of educating our children needs to be implemented. In the elementary years, I believe smaller group learning with flexibility is best. Outdoor teaching, field trip type learning, problem solving, reasoning, common sense, hands on learning experiences, daily application of things learned. For instance a trip to a grocery store to teach math concepts, pricing, weights, cost comparison and so forth. Things needed for navigating the real world. Parents need to begin these processes at home before school age and reinforce those things in daily living experiences. Too many kids are engaged with devices as electronic babysitters. So much needs to change. 😇
