When I grow weary, worn, or anxious, please remind me that You're in control. I don't have to fear anything because You will always protect me. You are always near. Hallelujah! Amen.

A PRAYER FOR UNITY

God, You alone can unite Your children. You make sinful hearts clean. You make broken families whole. You make divided nations return to You. Help me remember Your power to unite, and Your will for togetherness. Mend the division You see in me, and mend the divisions You see in the world. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

If you're a parent or a parent-figure, you know that raising children can be one of the greatest joys you ever experience, and one of the biggest challenges you face. And if you're a follower of Christ, you likely feel an added burden to make sure your kids grow up to know and love God.

In Proverbs 23:24, the author points out that joy in parenting comes when our children are two things: godly and wise. So, how do we help our kids become more like Jesus and develop the wisdom they need to navigate the challenges of life?

Find a Christ-centered community:
As a parent, you'll need to surround yourself with a community that loves Jesus so you're not alone when raising kids gets challenging. If you don't have that today, commit to taking the next step in that direction--join a small group, get connected at church, or invite like minded friends over for dinner.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WARNING THE WICKED

What do you think about this warning from Ezekiel? To me, it gives new meaning to loving my neighbor. Not only should I be treating my neighbor in a loving way, but that now extends to helping him avoid doing wrong. We understand this when we speak of being a parent helping a child to learn right from wrong, but it is a little more difficult when we are talking to our peers. Many a young person has gotten into trouble by going along with the crowd. Maybe their friend is shoplifting, or vandalizing property, and they don't speak up, or they may even participate. But, do we allow friends to drive drunk? Do we allow ethnic or racial slurs or jokes to go without comment? Would we buy or accept something that we knew was stolen?

Dear God, I am grateful that I am identified as righteous and never as wicked. Father, I am grateful that I have nothing to fear but everything to look forward to because You have made me righteous. Hero Dog Leads Police to Trapped 3-Year-Old in Louisville

Louisville police were searching for a missing 3-year-old when a dog appeared, barking and signaling officers to follow. The pup led them directly to the boy, who was trapped inside a car. Police called it a “blessing from God.” The child was safely rescued and reunited with his parents, with officers praising the dog’s timely intervention as a miracle.
