It really breaks me more and more every day. I am sick and tired of watching everything happening and it seems like it just keeps dragging on and on. If there are med beds, get them out here so people who are sick and hurting can heal. I mean seriously, no wonder why so many of us feel like there is no hope. If our food is being poisoned, fix it now. If our water is being poisoned, fix it now. If it weren't for God, continuing to guide me, I don't know where I would be. When is enough, enough? The mission of God is not opposed to growing families or building careers in fact, God desires for us to use those opportunities to faithfully accomplish the mission of God. We can raise families in the way of God, and we can tell our coworkers about God's grace. Any place we find ourselves in can be an opportunity to accomplish the mission of God.

Take a moment to consider your own life and how you spend your time. Are you using every opportunity you have to spread the good news of Jesus? Does your life, like Paul's, point toward God?

Consider a few ways that you can begin to change your perspective and live your life on mission for God.

Companies have been known to declare bankruptcy so that they don't have to honor debts, or they claim that the work was shoddy and refuse to pay. Greed is behind may other sins. It is very true, however, that many wealthy men and women have sponsored charities that help the poor. They have established scholarships for those unable to afford a good education. They maintain health clinics and hospitals to reach those who would otherwise have no access to health care. James' words are not designed to condemn wealth, just the misuse of it and the lack of concern for the welfare of others. Greed can also lead to misusing what we have even if we are not wealthy. It is up to each one of us to look at what we prize in life. Is God first? Are we concerned about our family and their welfare, or is our primary concern for ourselves and whatever it is that gives us pleasure?

Scripture says that for those who endure discipline, and persevere, there is a harvest of righteousness and peace waiting for them. However, it doesn't happen easily and often makes us uncomfortable. We have to be trained through discipline to create godly habits that will then produce righteousness and peace in our lives.

Take some time today to consider: Where can you allow the Holy Spirit to build discipline in your life? What daily habits should you begin working on today?

Building discipline into your life is worth it--with the results being peace and a desire for righteousness.

Those who were born into a wealthy family or who had an opportunity for a good education, good food and health care are no more worthy than those born into a war torn country or one with few of the opportunities that others take for granted. In God's eyes, we are all His beloved children. We have no right to feel superior to others, or to judge others as being more or less worthy. We know that we did not and cannot save ourselves. Jesus has saved us. It took Jesus who is both divine and human to pay the price for our sins. No mere human could have done it; salvation is pure gift. Let us thank God for the gift of salvation and allow our actions to show our gratitude in the way we treat others.

God please keep watch over all the children of the world. Please don't let anymore of them be harmed or killed by these demons. Please Father, give us strength, courage, wisdom, discernment, peace, healing, and rest. Please help all those on the front lines fighting these demons. Keep them all safe, guard them in Your Holy Armor, and help them bring everyone home, safe and sound. Give them all that they need to help them get through this. In Jesus' Name, I Pray. When you think about your life, what do you want to be able to say at the end? What will you see when you look back?

In Paul, we see an example of what it is to cling to faith in Christ. He knew what it was to be dependent on God for everything. He drew strength from God because he could not do it without Him.

In our own lives, we will face moments of doubt or discouragement. Let us hold fast to the truth of God's Word, knowing that He is faithful and will never leave us. May it be said of us, at the end of our lives, that we, too, fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.

When a prayer is answered and we give God the credit, we are the voice of God. It doesn't take a professional minister to be the voice of God, and it often has more power coming from the everyday believer. After all, the professional is expected to talk about God. So, how are we doing as God's messengers? Take a few minutes today to think about your relationship with God. What brought YOU to faith? What keeps you faithful? When do you recognize the power of God in your life? There's an exercise you can do that might help. Draw a line on a piece of paper and put marks along the line that mark significant times in your life. You should have both happy an difficult experiences on this line and then think about when you have felt God's presence more in the difficult times than the happy. Whichever way it goes, you will now have a better idea of why God is important to you, and this will make it easier for you to share your faith with others.

In Scripture, "knowledge" is not mere information. In Hebrew thought, to know God is relational--it speaks of intimacy, trust, love, and lived experience. It is the same word used to describe the deepest human relationship or marriage. God is not aiming to fill the world with facts about Himself, but with people who walk with Him, listen to Him, and love Him with all their hearts!

Habakkuk's vision reminds us that history is moving toward this end. Even in seasons of confusion or injustice, God is steadily working to reveal His glory. Our hope rests in this certainty: one day, the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the goodness of the Glory of the Lord!

Today, we have an amazing opportunity to pray for people all around the world, especially those of different faith traditions, that they would have an authentic encounter with Jesus Christ by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Pray that they might be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord!

Last week, I was with my granddaughter who asked me what I was doing now that I am retired. When I told her about two Bible Studies and writing these devotionals, she began to ask questions about the Bible. She was surprised that her brother and one of her sisters used this app and read it every day. I don't know if this conversation will encourage her to read the Bible and get to know Jesus better or not, and that's really not up to me, but the Lord. My responsibility was to take advantage of the opportunity. We all can be in situations like this. It may be a friend, a relative, or perfect stranger that engages us in a conversation that could lead to a discussion of faith if we recognize it. Sometimes we fear that we won't know enough, or won't say the right thing. We don't have to worry about it. Because we all know our own experience of God, sharing this will never be the wrong thing. Jesus won't let us fail.
