No dating in my home until 18 no matter ...daughter or son.

One of our sons told me at age 16 he thought dating before you are ready to consider marriage was dumb, because of all the drama and broken hearts his friends were inflicting on each other. He's a really good-looking, popular guy, but has been telling friends to tell girls who asked about his "situation" that he's a conservative Christian - and that has scared them all away over the years (lol). He's 27 now and ready to think about a family, so he looked for a like-minded, Christian young woman (met her on a dating app) and they are essentially courting (though they don't call it that). I'm sure people will think it's weird and certainly old fashioned, but I agree with him completely. My stupid heart was in pieces by the time I came to Christ and then came to my senses about relationships. I wish I'd taken his approach instead of the date early, get used, get heartbroken repeatedly by age 20 plan now in vogue.
