I understand she didn't get sentenced for backing up the data.
But, because she used someone elses credentials, unknowingly, to access the room the machine was in.
Apparently, the guy whose credentials she used lied about giving her permission to use them.
The system is corrupt.
She will most likely get the charges dismissed on appeal. Or Trump will pardon the sentence.
