There are no vaccines for anything. All deliver virus. None prevent anything. Wake up.

There was a clip I thought I saw on here at one point but it explained that when you create a bioweapon you always create a vaccine in case you are exposed to it. If you are sending soldiers into areas where access to medical care is unlikely and the soldiers may be assaulted with a bioweapon, the purpose of the vaccine is to prepare their body for the encounter so it responds efficiently in the field should they encounter the bioweapon and not have immediate access to medical care. We can argue all day about how that program may have gotten off track and used for fraud, but to do so would require a greater understanding of what is coming into our country (are people being used as bioweapons?) and what people are actually being exposed to. I do not have that information and most would agree we do not have a good handle on the border so it would be a tough discussion.

Just because you survived a prolonged fever and had a good outcome, that does not mean that would be the case for others and the current medicine is all bullshit. Unless and until people have access to other options, it is arrogant to make these grand pronouncements. There are birth defects that require surgery, obstructed labor, situations like sickle-cell, wounds, burns, etc. that require intervention. If you have some knowledge how everyone can access these better treatments than I am sure everyone would benefit and you should share it. Not some medbeds-are-coming, but something today, that someone born with a heart defect or someone in a car crash or someone stabbed in a fight can do right now. Enlighten us please.

The point I was trying to make was that most people do not have access at this time to other modalities or the support to use other modalities so until they are available the benefits of steering people away from modern healthcare do not outweigh the risk in my opinion. Public health approaches are different than individual-level approaches and vaccines are a public health approach in most cases, unless one is traveling to an area where something is endemic (yellow fever for example). I would love it if everyone had access to preventive medicine (that includes clean water, food, housing, enough space, access to timely care, an environment free from abuse and neglect) but that is not what we have.
