bitcoin is (was) designed to be both open, ditributed, and very hard to manipulate. It is not centrally controlled, and offers a limited resource in practice - there can never be an unlimited supply (in practice). Like gold, as an asset with a price, it can in principle find a level. Gold, etc is currently manipulated. BTC is just in demand. Not all digitals are the same

I will give my best interpretation of market rigging.
1) Paper Contracts inflate the "ounces" available. High supply & low demand lowers price. Theyre bought & sold by the millions daily, & not one physical ounce moves.
2) The value of an ounce is based on the purchasing power of the FedResNote. When you need more FRN to buy the exact same item, the value of said item didnt raise, it was the decreased value of the FRN. ILLUSION!
3) Precious metals have industrial uses. Their resistance to form an oxide layer is needed in communication electronics, emmissions control on cars, & medicines.

What the US Debt Clock says their actual value is....

I would just like to point out that the US debt clock has been showing a different value for silver since roughly 2016. At current, it displays dollar to silver ratio as nearly 5k per oz. Whether or not this holds any water is anyones guess until the GCR, but its certainly something I'm open to. If you bought/buy physical silver, dont sell no matter what anyone tells you. It's rarer than you're led to believe.

Bitcoin with its proof of work can only be manipulated by social engineering. Built by an accountant with forensic background, one of a handful with certificates were it matters. I think (hope not fake news) JoeM mentioned it in one post and clearly pointed out that what the public perceives as Bitcoin is not the true Bitcoin.

exactly. the disconnect is already clear in the spot vs physical premium.

essentially, we're going from a market with infinite supply in paper silver with steady demand to a market with limited supply and
massively increasing demand in physical. as soon as the paper market gets exposed and a precious metals backed system is introduced, the scarcity of precious metals matters again.

it matters not what a liar and a cheater tells you what something is worth. silver and gold have been currency throughout all of time, and they're precious metals for a reason.

Im looking forward to the day where precious metals are valued at their actual value. I might even celebrate a litte! 😎
