The Vet said my dog has around 4 months. Mouth cancer. She is an old girl. Starting to show signs of discomfort. :{

I’m in a similar boat with stage 3 heart disease in my dog. Giving her extra love in every way to make her happy as we can. Do that and show her/him the ultimate love when the time comes. You will know when that time is right. I will cry with you, VK, as I’m sure you will do the same with me. Peace and love to you, brother.

Giving her nice big meals and cooking for her. She seems happy and thankful for that. They certainly teach us all aspects of life.

Hey VK!
I'm glad your dog is feeling ok.
When my dog almost died last year I did lots of research & found a raw food detox diet that did wonders for his recovery. Raw chicken livers & hearts, and threw some bone broth, pumpkin and Himalayan sea salt, spinach, and some herbs, etc. I also ordered CBD oil from PranaPets online. I'm absolutely sure he would've passed by now without these things.

I know it can feel helpless but giving her the most love and affection you can in her final time will let her enjoy it fully and help ease any pain. After 3 weeks of thinking our third musketeer was poisoned we found out he had a large tumor on a main artery and had to put him down April of 2020. In his final moments as I was singing a song I would sing to him at bedtime(I know, I know, we have no kids so yes, I’m “one of those”) my husband said “Do you” which was something we’d say when going in the car(he looovvved the car!). His ears perked up and that was it. I like to think he was filled with joy in his last few moments and when his spirit went wherever it went, he knew how much he was loved. Prayers for her, you and your family, we’re all here for you.

When my golden retriever was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014 I quit my nursing job and devoted my life to making him comfortable. The night after he died I went down into the kitchen for water and heard this ethereal music-I couldn't find the source. It was January so there were no open windows. I narrowed it down to the wood stove and sat and listened for a good ten minutes. The next day I was overcome by a peace and euphoria I'd never felt, and after the experience I likened it to his soul passing through mine-telling me he was and I would be okay. So much love to you.

Yep. Ours now gets chicken livers, rice and a mix of fresh cooked veges mixed in with her kibble and supplements/meds. Now she's refusing her kibble, lol. She stomps to indicate she loved it and wants more. We've spoiled her rotten since finding out her status. I'm okay with that, she will die happy and well loved.
