So it was like a spirt form Jesus. That makes sense. What did they do with the flesh and bones of Jesus? Did they dig them back up when Jesus reappeared?

IMO
I consider this all some kind of Test of the Soul purgatory.
So reincarnation = failed test.
However, If we pass then we can travel freely thru all timelines.

Dr. Gloria Polo, a dentist from Bogota, Columbia, was struck by lightning in 1995. At the time, she was expected to die, and in the aftermath came face to face with Jesus. He proceeded to review her life with her, as documented in her Book of Life, using an examination of the Ten Commandments as a point of reference. In the end, He gave her a second chance at life, on the condition that she share her testimony with others. As she says, “Nothing is impossible with God”.
I first read her story several years ago, and came upon it again a few days ago. I was reminded of the profound impact it had on me, so I’m sharing it here for anyone interested.
