Re the assassination of Abe, have a look at this photo of the event.
To the left of the pic is someone ... or a dummy ... laying on the street with their legs in the air. Hmm.
Slightly to the right is a person in gray. Notice he is standing there looking like an impartial observer. Their hands are behind their back, no defensive posture at all, just another observer who will never be identified.
