Frankly I use a simple filter, change it often... The best is ionized water and these machines are very pricey along with filters also over priced.
Saw a video about how it could made easily, so that's annoying.
If you get a Britta and change it regularly that is adequate ... but I'm blessed with good health. If I had an autoimmune deficiency, I would invest the $1200.00 + in the machines.
