Definitely not true.

Horus was an Egyptian God. Easy to find out.

Christmas was switched to December 24 for a simple reason.

When Christianity was rolled out, often with brutal force in the area of nowadays Germany, France and Uk they put Christmas on the same day the Germanic tribes celebrated winter solstice.
(Today we know 21/22 would be the exact date but they not measured it exactly.)
If anybody not attended to Christmas celebration they where killed as they would have attended the secret winter solistic celebration.

Same with Eastern which was the Germanic fertility feast (that means not to eat babies as they where needed as a grown up mother or warrior) following the phases of the moon.

So last chance VK could be a good fact checker is, who was first Germanic tribes or Egyptian.
Germanic area was christened around 700 - 1150.

Egypt was never christened beside some very minority parts of the population.

Merry Christmas VK

If it was Eastern Germany (as of today) it most certainly we not Germanic tribes, but rather Slavic. For example, Rügen Island was the biggest Slavic shrine. Was destroyed somewhere in 13th century.

Germanic tribes where first then around 1050 - 1150 slavic tribes.
Those who did this was the Frankonian Empire.
One of the last slavic outposts being not christend was nowadays city of Brandenburg.

Have to add to this, as I have researched Slavic mythology. A lot of "pagan" customs & folklore stayed in for Christmas, even today. It represents (re)birth of the"Son God".

Slavic mythology was much adopted to the seasons which is common for most mythologies and to woodlands.
Most of their area was woodland.
Refer to holy oaks and such elements.
That was very similar to Germanic mythology.

I think it's similar to Nordic mythology, as well. Think all the religions come from the same root.
