No it doesn't go against the narrative.
The only ones claiming vaccinated people can't get infected are antivaxxers so they have something to prove wrong and shit on.
Evidence so far supports the theory that people are less likely to get infected because antibodies in mucous membranes where the virus enters the body reduce the viral load.
Evidence so far supports that in case they do get infected, vaccinated people are much less likely to develop severe symptoms that end in hospitalization, requiring oxygen, and death.
Evidence so far suggests that outside of the delta variant, vaccinated people are a lot less likely to infect others.
Less likely doesn't mean it doesn't happen. You wear a seat belt you can still die in traffic.
Criticize the vaccine as much as you want, but at least do it based on something not made up.

Less people are hospitalized in places with higher vaccination rates. Meanwhile Texas and Florida has hospital staff being overworked to the point that they can only quit out of self preservation.
Even if you ignore everything else, hospital staff telling you it's bad and walking away from their career for good should make you at least ask some further questions.
