I really cannot say what the intended message is by the maker of the meme, but the message I get is that these individuals invited bad karma into their lives and bad karma has tendency to revisit sometimes. Their bad karma that they brought into their lives did not make them martyrs, it made them criminals.

I am sick to no end of people using some new-age bullshit to explain away needless suffering.
A week ago a 13 year old boy was killed by police. And just today there's a settlement from when a 16 year old was shot by police in 2017.
Are you gonna tell me kids are fair game to be killed by cops because of karma?

This stupid concept doesn't scale.
People suffer and die all the time, and they haven't invited any bad karma into their lives. Plenty of them die too young to even do so, you know.
The only mistake many made was to be born in the wrong part of the world.
