The worldview we grew up with (spinning ball flying through an infinite vacuum) convinces us that stuff we don't understand can be simpy written off as untrue or "figurative".
The Bible is VERY literal and intentional with the way it was written, though it doesn't help that several book have been removed through the centuries.

The Bible was heavily censored by the Roman authorities. Most likely at the request of the Popacy and the Vatican. They kept certain scriptures and gospels hidden from us.

Thats where Flat Earthers got it wrong... Yes, there are scriptures that can describe a place that they talk about, but they are missing key elements of its truth and its location. The Bible actually has some keys left in it to unlock what it means, but they miss those keys bc the actual context is missing.
I believe the place they think is actual our planet, is literally inside of our planet.
Its very possible what they see described in the Bible is actually an enclosed ecosystem sorrounded by an aquifer which is held back by a protective barrier (the firmament)
The aquifer theory would PERFECTLY explain the Biblical flood.

I believe we live on a partially Hollow Earth, with an ecosystem inside. An ecosystem that once contained a functioning civilization or maybe still does.
