I got 4 of these calls last night, the first at 9:48 & then every minute after another call. I don’t recall ever getting a call that said ‘SIM line’. The last call actually showed the number also.

I answered the first call & it was someone speaking Spanish (I think) with background noise. I promptly hung up. And then 3 more calls came in. I put my phone on airplane mode so as not to ring anymore for the last two. My husband said they were probably just selling something, but my internal flagging system doesn’t agree. First they would have spoken a language I could understand, with an accent maybe, but one I could understand. What was especially unnerving was when the last call came in it was out of the neighboring county. I know there were a lot of illegals in this area. Here still?…I don’t know. I know scam calls often use local numbers, but I I am seeing this right, these calls were made with a cell phone.
Was this what they call a burner phone?
