My experience with the CDC as I worked in the medical field for 50 years was nothing short of total distain for all their arbitrary rules they would come up with year after year, without any regard or care for the impact their rules had on the care of actual patients. For example, rules that increased documentation requirements that were often duplicated. Rules that made staff walk many additional steps in a day because this or that had to be under lock and key and away from the patient care area. Then they would send their gestopo type "inspectors" to grill staff on protocols, watch every move of staff working, and ruling that their rules were not being carried out as they wished. Then the facility would face a fine or closure if they found too many "inconsistencies." Oh the stories I could tell! 🙄
