It has always bothered me the Council of Nicaea chose what books were to be a part of the Bible. And that Protestants, at least in my lifetime, go on and on that this is the only word of God, especially since it was Catholics that chose the books. They didn’t even let the common man read what they chose and we know how evil so many of the priests were. Nothing about the Catholics was Godly and I appreciate what Martin Luther did but we never went far enough, IMO, to completely divorce ourself from the Catholic Church by sticking with its determination of what the holy scriptures should be. Other than leaving out some of the books they still have.
