Pedophilia in families is far, far more common than many would wish to think. My mother's father was one. He came on to me when I was 4 years old. I told him to go away. He did, praise God! Saw him briefly again when I was 11, and refused to speak to him. The last I saw of him was at his funeral. I clearly remember feeling quite happy that he had died. It was a few years later that I figured out what he was and that my mom was an alcoholic because of what he did to her. She never told anyone, never got the real help she needed. "...and the sins of the fathers .. go unto the 7th generation..."
