I may be nearly 61 but I learned to shoot both rifles and handguns and how to 'reload' bullets when growing up in Wyoming.

Cheryl, I believe there's going to be great purpose for volunteers, because there is and will be great need throughout coming events, and the Civilian-Military Alliance should utilize the American People's Talents, IMO.
America has TONS of Talent, so why not put those talents to use under the direction, control and command of the US Military?
THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE HEART OF A VOLUNTEER.
Those who are able, trained and equipped with firearms (think hunters & CCWs) could volunteer under the orders & guidance of the US Military in all kinds of capacities, including protecting the safety of those who are vulnerable, protect supply chains or critical infrastructure, or even helping guard prisoners, for example.
Then add other talents like Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, EMS, Nurses, Cooks, you name it, the list of America's Talent is endless, and our Military should allow everyone who has talent & ability to participate where needed & feasible.
