You can tell POTUS is NOT a dog person which has always bugged me alot. The dog knows it too.

He can’t be emotionally tied to an animal. Would be used against him (killed/tortured/etc). But, Lara and Eric Trump are huge in this - adopted two former labs beagles (Trump’s holding one of their rescues). Lara is a patron of the Beagle Freedom Project. Look here not there.
