We need to change this! Reading is a huge passion of mine, although when I went completely blind about 7 years ago, it altered my world completely as mostly everything had been built on sight for me. Luckily they reattached both retnas and I can see out of one eye, which makes it difficult to read for me, but I love books, always have. I could just sit in a library and fall asleep, not at the quietness, but because I felt like home!
Also I believe that writing, books, etc are also a part of one of my lifetimes, as Seshat, Egyptian.
IMHO💛

They want generations that communicate with emojis and grunts, as videos supplants the ability to read...

QUANTUM is coming, in fact it's already here.
Type a message by thinking it.

Haven't had a TV for over 15 years.
QUANTUM is nothing like that. Quantum physics has everything to do with the real properties of our universe which is frequency & vibration. Quantum computers reportedly can read thoughts, because we emit the specific frequencies of those thoughts with our brainwave patterns and Quantum Computers can pick them up. (There's about a 0.75 second delay from our brains to our fingers - that's how long it takes for someone to pull a trigger after deciding to do so - giving you time to defeat someone pointing a loaded gun at you if you can draw & fire out of your holster in 0.6 seconds, BTW) . Quantum is instantaneous. I heard one disclosure (Military) saying how it was normal for his Quantum computer to type out his thoughts before he could type them. Now imagine how that would make for controlling a fighter jet or spacecraft when you just think "turn left" and it does it instead of the delay for your hand to move a control stick.
