Vapor Carburetors were invented in the 1930's, achieved 200 MPG+, and were installed on Sherman Tanks during WWII to run the German Armored Divisions out of fuel. Pogue Carburetors.
After WW2, this simple technology was deemed "classified" and any innovators that tried to introduce these simple inventions to the public, including Pogue, were threatened and/or murdered (research the Tom Ogle case).
There never was a need for "emissions" equipment on any car or truck engines. At one point, cars were designed that achieved over 500 MPG during the Saudi Oil Embago - but never released.
The US WAR DEPARTMENT knew only vapor burns.
A vapor carburetor is a relatively simple conversion to any gasoline powered vehicle. Surely works for diesel, too. Takes your engine from about 25% efficient to well above 80% efficient.
SUPER CARBURETORS.

Just remembered this:
A friend of my husband's had a big old car that got more than 100 mpg.
Auto manufacturers would periodically visit him to try to get him to sell his 'miracle' car but he always refused.

I was contacted by a fella who knew a WW2 US Tanker and his daddy confirmed the "black box" put atop their Sherman Tanks gas engines were Pogue Carburetors.

It's so simple, but withheld from the public.

Good thing your Husband's friend didn't try to market that fuel system. Wouldn't have ended well.

Yes, 💯 agreed...but I am a realist. We have to transition & not make super-abrupt changes that would shatter our economy outright. With millions of gasoline/diesel vehicles out there wouldn't a $2000 conversion that yields a minimum 100 MPG minimum be a good 1st transition?
I can build these on almost any gasoline powered engine (I'm a master diesel & gasoline mechanic, also set up a FAA Part 145 Repair Station for helicopters) but would expect to be clobbered by lawfare to even breathe of going commercial with one.
Water-fuel (Brown's gas) tech is also out there & manufacturers are making water-powered engines. Great! But how do you keep it from freezing when it's 20degrees below zero?
Battery-powered EVs aren't the answer either, made w/child slave labor.
Ultimately, FREE ENERGY vehicles like Nikola Tesla had are the future, but choice is important.
Even if we have FREE ENERGY ANTI-GRAVITY CARS, I still want to take my wife on a drive in a 1960's 2-seater on Weekends.
