The only people that come into power or authority are those that God himself puts there. We don't always know the reason. That's where faith comes in. How many times in biblical history has God place a horrible leader over his people? And why? Disobedience. The United States turned it's back on God in 1962 when we removed prayer from our schools. In doing so, we said " God, we don't need you anymore, we got this". We have been under judgement ever since. The leaders currently in play, good or bad are being used of God to people. Not just one country. He will exercise any means that He wishes to draw people to Himself.
