πŸ˜»πŸ‰ The 1974 film CHINATOWN
was about the DS CA mafia droughting the San Fernando valley
so [they] could buy farms on-the-cheap.
THEY DID IT BY TURNING ON A WATER FAUCET & DUMPING
MILLIONS OF GALLONS OF WATER INTO THE PACIFIC 🌊

πŸ¦…πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸͺ– President/CiC Trump today, CA
THE SOIL [IN CA] IS UNBELIEVABLY FERTILE
BUT THEY HAVE NO WATER..
THEY SEND MILLIONS & MILLIONS OF GALLONS OF WATER
OUT TO THE PACIFIC UP NORTH.
You have canals but you have no water
because NewSCUM didn’t want to do it.
MILLIONS OF GALLONS OF WATER
are pouring down from the North, the snowcaps & Canada
[BUT] [THEY] HAVE A VERY LARGE FAUCET.
IT TAKES ONE DAY TO TURN IT
& ALL THAT WATER GOES INTO THE PACIFIC.
IF THEY TURNED THAT FAUCET BACK
ALL THAT WATER WOULD COME DOWN INTO L.A.
& ALL THOSE BARREN FIELDS
WOULD HAVE ALL THE WATER THEY NEEDED.
You could revert water where you have dead forests
& the land would be damp
& YOU’D STOP THESE HORRIBLE FIRES
costing BILLIONS by the Fed Gov πŸ’Έ

I've been fascinated with Chinatown since the first time I saw it. To me it was perfection. I've watched it a thousand times, laughed at the same parts, and quoted it a million times.

Like I'm going to have to do with favorite musicians, writers and other artists, I have to reconcile with myself watching movies like this while knowing the director's pedo history.

I've grown to loath Robert DeNiro & Rob Reiner for obvious reasons to anons. But I still enjoy Goodfellas & Spinal Tap. I hope Jack doesn't turn out to be a sicko, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll still always enjoy Chinatown, though.

One thing I do know is I doubt I will ever watch a Tom Hanks movie again, ever.

Never having been a big/small screen fan, I had zero trouble cutting them all off at the knees. I could never understand WHY people worshipped these people! They are overpaid to PRETEND, PERFORM,..parrot someone else's words. Never thought of that to be anything worthy of praise and adulation. Usually when they open their mouths, they show how poorly educated many of them are. Music is my driving force so it DID pain me some to give up so many I enjoyed, but NOPE I will not support ANY of this evil! Now, it's become as easy as breathing!

😻 I hear you & face the same dilemma, Pike.
There are so many movies & actors I've loved
but can't watch anymore.
Am with you on Hanks. No way.

I totally understand loving a piece of Art
& being loathe to admit that those behind it
were demons.

IMO, Polanski was always REALLY dark;
maybe because his early life was horrific.
He was a child in the KrakΓ³w Ghetto in WW2.
And then there's ROSEMARY'S BABY.
But I admit CHINATOWN is brilliant.

Jack Nicholson's house had a tunnel under it
that connected to the Playboy Mansion,
as did James Caan, Warren Beatty
& Kirk Douglas πŸ’₯

It's hard to let go of those we once thought
were so amazing πŸ’”

I had a dream years ago after Hugh Hefner died, that they made his house a museum, and I couldn’t understand why, but now it all makes sense
