He may sound similar to Clif, but it is Cooper. Yes, income taxes are voluntary. I hope everyone chooses not to pay them, but if they do I'm sure their contributions will be returned to them at some point.

You ever not file?

I am not having income tax taken out of my paychecks now. As I don't plan on filing for 2024. Makes me very nervous.

Also received a couple of spam call VM's saying all unpaid taxes have been moved to an uncollectable status.

Found those calls to be creepy and I've been unable to confirm if it is true or not.

Those that don't file say that the IRS doesn't go after non filer's. Have no way to confirm if that is true either.

Don't worry about it. The IRS is defunct. Those who worked there were moved to another location where they will be involved in the collection of National Sales Tax, which is coming, instead of income taxes. National sales tax will only be collected on new homes, new cars, and non-essential items. Food, medications etc. will have no sales tax. Basically, if you're wealthy enough to afford a yacht or a new car, you should pay.

Of course, I am aware that is what people are saying and I want to believe that it's true.
