Yeah I get the feeling, I'm suspicious of so many people nowadays lol. I can still find things that shock me occasionally tho. Funnily enough it was in this particular chapter as here in the UK we had a particularly nasty murder of two schoolgirls some years ago. Very high press presence. They 'caught' the chap and sentenced him. Now I read this book and see a link to the girls deaths to an army base (their bodies were found in a ditch that ran alongside the perimeter of the base). So I'm wondering whether the chap that was sent to prison was all a smokescreen (i.e. not actually real), taken a bribe or what. They obviously didn't want the truth to get out. If these girls were raped/killed by foreign military personnel stationed over here, who were high on some anti-malaria drug, that wouldn't go down too well.
