No one knows the specifics, not a soul alive does anything short of speculating. But the ideology of an immense black heavily metallic-based mineral of some sort "mountain" at the center/north as a giant bar magnet so to speak stuck into the earth makes this seem the most plausible idea I can understand being an electrician for this "realm" we seem to be contained in. I am certain there's more outside this but as far as we know/can access, this seems very reasonable. Also, things like why the jet stream goes only one way, etc, work in a constantly contorting toroidal magnetic effect. Magnetic fields aren't stagnant, they move non stop constantly twisting and rotating.
