I knew that @vincentkennedy would circle back to a conversation about God. It's an important and necessary one. Don't get it twisted though Truth seeker. Imagine that someone tore out 66 pages of a 777 page Book. Do you you think that you would grasp the entire story?

I ask myself often but refrain from talking about it. However this is AU so I should be open about my questions.
If you took a high enough view wouldn't it make sense that everything man has brought to the table has only distanced us from the Creator? The use of the word G_d has been manipulated. Then I ask myself are the masses even worshiping the right source. Then to the final question. What are they Hiding??
My faith in anything Humans have touched being an attempt to bring us closer to 'G_d' simply doesn't exist at this point.
Why Poison our pineal gland?
Were we interconnected before?
Did they replace it with the Internet?
Did it work?
Or is it going to backfire?
These are Tuff uncomfortable questions.

I was born into a Catholic family but since the beginning nothing ever sat right with me.. I somewhat followed what was trying to be taught to me, but it always felt off.. Somewhere in my 20s I let go of it all and came up with a simple philosophy.. Be good to everyone and you will end up where you are supposed to. No more Sunday is the Lords day, no more collections, No more commandments. Just pure love and trying to get better every day.

Same...I grew up in a Catholic family but was never really comfortable with the Catholic religion. When I went off to college and then moved to another state, I tried to attend different non-denominational churches...the messages were good, but I always thought the big shows, bands and one even had a smoke machine and sold Starbucks...was too much and over the top and seemed more "for the money."
I am a simple person...I let it go also and like you - I focus on being kind, praying at home, and being a good person to others.

When I went to basic training in San Antonio, on Sundays we went to the area where the churches were,, there were multiple ones you could attend.. every weekend i went to a different denomination. Southern Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Hindu, Buddist.. cant recall the others.. What i realized is that each was the same thing in different wrapping paper. Forget organized religion and focus inward on your heart and soul.. everything you are looking for is locally grown.
