"Supreme Court limits EPA’s power to combat climate change"
~WAPO

This is big news, but for less obvious reasons. SOTUS stripping federal agencies (SEC, IRS, EPA, etc.) of broad rule making authority, has placed limits on all enforcement agencies ability to regulate by way of enforcement.

As Brad Garlinghouse (Ripple CEO) suggested, 'he believes the BEST public policy outcomes can be achieved by public-private collaboration'. This is the direction that most federal regulation is headed (private-public partnerships, no more heavy handed govt. picking the winners and losers).

They are setting up the roll out of regulations for the new financial system (crypto regulations), but first they had to limit federal agencies enforcement capabilities to a well-defined jurisdiction. Using the EPA case makes sense because it seem less obvious, but likewise sets precedence for all other enforcement agencies.
