Some of the accounts I was following on Twitter began posting screenshots of early Q posts (although they weren’t actually signed with a ‘Q’ back then) that intrigued me. I found out they were posted on 4chan and spent some time there (not for the faint of heart). Eventually, some people created websites that aggregated the posts, which made it easier to follow. Q is a psyop, so many of us were drawn to it because that’s what Q intended: “You were chosen for a reason.” I believe that many of the early adherents met a set of criteria that Q was looking for - patriots, skeptics, researchers, history buffs, meme makers - to spread the movement.
