@joey - I feel what you’re going through.
My relationship with my family (primarily my mom & dad) was turbulent, even before all this crap we’re going through now.
You think CNN at at airport is something, that’s all my parents watch at home on every TV & laptop.
I haven’t spoken to them since last Father’s Day.
That day, I became “one of those people” when I told them I wasn’t getting the V.
For your own parent to accuse/suggest you’re the cause of current status society is in hurt.
There is other stuff from over the years that compounds the situation but I won’t go there.

Although we may be “anons”, we are connected & we’ve created our own family.

The shit thing is, my parents ARE grandparents.
They have zero interest in connecting with their grandkids (my kids).
A 23 year old & 19 year old do not typically reach out/connect/communicate to their grandparents for no reason or on a whim.
I don’t know if it’s because of me but one thing I have learnt, toxic relationships do not help anyone.
It is what it is for me and if I’m the reason they do not connect with their grandkids - so be it.
My kids are smart, educated & well informed.
