Please note, these are real plants ... the electrodes are attached to the plant and just like in real life, it stretches towards the light for photosynthesis ... they are simply responding to their need.
A wonderful book is "The Secret life of Plants." read it 50 years ago ... it was wonderful because the plants not only have reactions, feelings but also memory. (same as water)
The electrodes were hooked to a sensor, like a lie detector ... then 5 students in this experiment drew straws, all left for the day ...the short straw had to come back and chop one of the 5 plants down.
When the same 5 students returned the next day, and filed into the classroom at different times ... the plants signaled as the one student who had performed the chopping. Seriously, the plants recognized the person! Our vibrations are noted by every living thing.
