02/18/2020: Update, Today I received a response (report) to my FOIA request to Ft Detrick regarding the June 1959 Agent Orange on Camp Drum. They didn’t provide a map of the area sprayed or the identity of the Aviation Unit. But, BOTH Agent Orange and Agent Purple were sprayed, undiluted 715 gallons of each. I had thought only 715 gallons was sprayed, but,1430 gallons (15,300 pounds or 71/2 tons) was sprayed. Then, Camp Drum directly acquired ANOTHER 800+ gallons for use. One sentence “got my attention”: Certain states require licensing to disseminate aerial sprays in order to control or limit unintentional damage to susceptible crops. So, I’m wondering if NY required licensing in 1959 and if the Army had a license to spray Agents Orange & Purple??
