Worst case scenario.
there are up to 20 million cubic metres of low silica low viscosity magma under La Palma, if there was an ocean water intrusion into that chamber, it acts as a pressure cooker which will release at the north-south fault.
Low viscosity is usually good because it manifests as a fissure or shield eruption.
But an ocean water intrusion would turn it to something else. Releasing large amounts of CO2, SO2, Chlorine Gas and Bromine Gas.
The vulcanologist professor on Spanish tv described what is underneath the island as “a monster”.
This doesnt mean it will happen, but there is a potential.
If it slowly continues to pour out, then thats good, pressure released, danger passed.
Watch for additional quakes >4 or >5 underneath as well as high frequency harmonic tremors.

I have no clue as to the propensity for catastrophe here, I have not poured through the data.
Current seismicity suggests nothing catastrophic, from a brief look.
But I always keep an eye out on volcanism and quakes as a matter of interest.
Whatever happens, I’m trusting God.

There is a 1/2 section on the eastern side of the island that has a crack along the entire section. Scientist and Geologist are concerned that this will slide into the Atlantic Ocean and the depth is 8000 feet. This is their calculations on a Tsunami 3,273 feet high voing accross the Atlantic hitting the East Coast.

There are many models for this originating around 2000 and the most recent being in the past 2 years.
With each iteration of the model the tsunami risk, height and propogation seems to decline.
This is a good thing.
